ENFORCEMENT

This feature focuses on the enforcement department of the local municipality, aligning its operations with the Governor’s manifesto, particularly pillar II on wealth creation. The pillar emphasizes providing top-tier financial services to boost the region’s economy and establish a thriving 24-hour economy in the municipality. To support this objective, the enforcement department plans to deploy ample officers to patrol the central business district (CBD), ensuring a secure environment for traders to conduct their businesses without fear. Their key responsibilities include:

1. Maintaining smooth traffic flow within the municipality.
2. Enforcing regulations concerning public order and upkeep of public spaces, markets, and bus parks.
3. Overseeing municipal inspectorate duties, including maintaining law and order and operating a municipal court.
4. Managing the enforcement and Revenue compliance unit within the municipality.
5. Conducting inspections and enforcing county and national laws within the municipality.
6. Collaborating with national enforcement agencies to uphold law and order.
7. Undertaking any additional duties assigned by the municipal manager and chief officer administration.
